Demolition of the Georgia Dome?

http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcons/new-stadium-plan-retractable-1425916.html

Is this what is destined for the Georgia Dome? Couldn't they re-use the Dome as a movie studio? I'll try and remember to email City Council members with the suggestion!

  3. This is a good post. I really like the stories that you share. Sometimes people will need demolition contractors in Victoria. I'm sure all demolition companies have great stories like you. Thanks!

  4. I have never seen a demolition site first hand before. I have wanted to actually see one first hand. I think that would be the coolest thing ever. I am just wondering how I could make this dream a reality.

  5. I'd like to look into demolition in Calgary. It would be a good way to take down a business building. We'd like to replace it with a new one.

  6. That would be awesome if they used the dome as a movie studio. I have been in it many times, and can see endless possibilities for movies they could film inside. It would be really awesome to watch the demolition though. It's so huge, and would come down so fast. http://www.maddixexcavating.com/services.html

  7. It does seem like there would be a better use for it. I hope they don't decide to demolish it. When was it first opened?

  8. I think they could use the Dome for so many things. Honestly though, I have dreamed of being in demolition. Since I was little I loved playing games where we had a demolition. I don't know I just love tearing things down. I really hope they tear it down and build something new in its place.

  9. I really hope that they don't demolish the Georgia Dome. It is so awesome looking, and I'm sure that they can find other uses for it. If not, I hope that I'm there to watch on the day of the demolition. I've seen buildings get knocked down before, but never a big dome like that one. http://www.abledemolition.ca

  10. I agree with you! They shouldn't demolish the Georgia Dome. It's such an amazing structure and really important to history. They should make it into a movie studio or something. That's an excellent idea. http://www.prattcoexcavating.com/demolitions.html

  11. I have never seen a house demolition in person before, but I know that they have to take a lot of precautions before they do anything. They are very safe about what they do and how they do it. It is quiet the job doing what they do.

  12. I've always wondered what it would be like to work on a demolition crew. I just feel like it would be an insane job, because of all the things you get to do to demolish some of these houses. What do you think the hardest thing you guys ever demolished was?

  13. It seems like they only demolish buildings as a last resort or if they are going to be something else there. I wonder what kinds of laws are in place for people that do these kinds of jobs. It seems like there are a lot a safety precautions that are put in place before they start doing anything. http://www.abledemolition.ca

  14. It makes me a bit sad to see that they are planning to get rid of the dome. I have to agree with some of the comments that they should turn it into something else. Perhaps repurposing it would be the best idea? If they do go through with demolishing it, they should look at getting it done by a professional. Given that it is such a large building, there should be a lot of planning done in order for it to be taken down. http://diggademolition.com.au/demolition.html
