Second Story Site

Eerie View....From inside the second story of an about-to-be-demolished home.....I left shortly thereafter. I don't usually get my kicks in this way........The operator knew I was in the home by the way. We were in total communication........  It is not the way I want to go.

  1. That is not the way that I would want to go either ;) I have always wanted to work in demolitions. It would be so awesome to know how to demolish building and destroy them all of the time. Thanks for sharing this with us!

  4. I liked the picture, almost a "last thing the house sees before it dies" feel. I am also glad to know that you were in contact with the demolition contractor.

  7. There is an older building that is on property that I want. I need to demo late it to build a new building. Is there a demolition company I can go to?

  8. To me, it's sad to take one last look at something that's going to be demolished. I recently hired someone to do a demolition for a portion of my home so that we could rebuild it and expand. It was sad to see it go, but I'm happy with the new section of our home.

  9. I've often thought about what some of the world's coolest jobs would be, and demolition would have to be one of them. A job where you perform controlled blasts, or use a wrecking ball to bring down an entire building would be way awesome. I'll have to look into this more and see if it's something that I would be interested in doing.

  10. It would have been unfortunate if you were not in communication with the operator. That arm is about to take out half of the room. I have always wanted to work in demolitions, but I am afraid of accidentally hurting someone. It is a lot of pressure and responsibility.

  11. That is a very good idea to make sure that the demolition equipment is all right where it needs to be when it is a smaller building. Doing this will make it so the demolition is completely safe and that no one is going to be injured. This is a really cool picture from the inside of this second story building that is about to be demolished.
